Twins: A Divine Gift, Not a Man-Made Wonder

Introduction
Indeed, the Creator bestows twins as a gift to whomever He wills. Not everyone receives this blessing, and no matter how advanced science becomes, it can never truly replicate what comes purely by divine decree.

Today’s world has introduced scientific ways to "claim" twins—through modern medical interventions and advanced technologies. But the question remains: Can what is artificially created equal what is divinely given?

The reality is clear: God is the Ultimate Doer — He acts as He wills, when He wills. You will often find twins who are nearly indistinguishable—same height, body size, complexion, facial structure, and even tone of voice. Such twins are incredibly hard to tell apart.

Yet, there are also twins who are quite easy to distinguish—sometimes even shockingly so. You might need to look very closely to identify any similarities at all.

A Personal Encounter

In my own life journey, I have come across many types of twins, and some have left me in awe. These experiences have only deepened my submission to and glorification of the Creator. Even now, as I write this blog, I am with a pair of identical twin boys, not older than four, and neighbors to them are identical twin girls, around six years of age.

They are all my little companions—playmates and conversation buddies. But even with all my time around them, I still find it hard to tell them apart. The boys look exactly alike, and so do the girls. Even their laughter and expressions of anger are mirrored versions of each other.

One day, one of the twin girls said something that left me smiling and thoughtful at the same time:

“I’m Sayyadah, I swear I’m not Sayyedah!”
She argued playfully the moment I mistakenly uttered “Sayyedah.”

On another occasion, the twin boys ran to me with identical grins, each holding matching stones they’d picked by the roadside—both insisting,
“Mine is shinier!”

Have you ever met twins who were impossible to tell apart? How did it make you feel?

Reflection

Truly, Almighty alone deserves all praise and glorification. If He wills, He can give identical twins to one family or give lookalikes to entirely unrelated individuals. He can make twins born at different times resemble each other as if they were born together. He can make a white and a black child resemble one another—or even a male and a female.

Glory be to our Creator — The One with absolute power and infinite wisdom.
We must continue to reflect on His signs and marvel at His wonders.

May Almighty bless all who hope and wait with patience with this sacred gift.
